Be a poll worker for Bexar County—and get paid to do it

Do your part to ensure all eligible voters can cast a ballot this November by becoming a poll worker for Bexar County! 

Complete, print, and mail this simple Bexar County Election Officials application now.

Poll workers in Bexar County are paid for their work and are needed to ensure that enough polling places will be open and ready to serve voters safely with a socially-distanced voting experience.

Mail the application to the address on the bottom of the form: 

  • ATTN: Elections Training Coordinator
  • 1103 S. Frio, Ste. 100, San Antonio, Texas 78207.

Types of poll worker positions

There are three different positions, with compensation ranging from $15-$17 per hour.

  • Election Clerk (high school students age 16 and up are eligible to do this)
  • Alternate Judge
  • Presiding Judge

High School students ages 16 years and older can be poll workers!
  • Read about being a paid student Election Clerk.
  • Complete the Student Election Clerk Form (pdf).
    • include a signature from a parent or guardian
    • include a signature from your school principal
  • Mail your completed and signed form to:
