Picture This: Our Future, Our Vote strives to increase youth awareness of their responsibility in representative government and provide the tools necessary for meeting that responsibility. This initiative is an attempt to engage the next generation to think about democracy, the role of our leaders, the role of our government and most importantly, their role in making democracy work.

The Youth Initiative is an effort to create a LWVSAA Youth Group, composed of high school and college aged students.

In summer of 2021, a youth focus group brainstormed and named this youth initiative Picture This: Our Future, Our Vote in an attempt to engage the Bexar county youth in imagining the world they want to live in and tracing the necessary steps to help build it. The project fosters a dialogue in a peer setting to help identify and understand issues that are important to create the future of that world.
