Naturalization Ceremonies at Federal Courthouse

Volunteer aids new citizen to register to vote
The LWVSA presence at naturalization ceremonies is a wonderful opportunity to welcome new citizens.  PLEASE NOTE:  These two ceremonies are at the new Federal Courthouse downtown, not at the USCIS office.  We will remain inside.

The citizenship oath will be administered by a federal judge to approximately 200 applicants at each ceremony. Volunteers will hand out welcome letters from LWVSA. The Bexar County Election officials plan to attend.  Only mail in voter registration applications will be used.

Plan to arrive early to find parking.

The ceremony at the courthouse is more formal than the ones at the USCIS office.  Please dress in business attire and wear a LWVSA name tag.  All volunteers MUST remain nonpartisan and not wear anything with messaging of any nature.

To volunteer to assist at one of these ceremonies, sign up at the REGISTER NOW button.
