Early Voting

Avoid the lines and vote early! Early voting generally begins 17 days before an election and ends 4 days before. If the 17th day before election day happens to land on a weekend, then early voting begins the following Monday. Vote at any early voting location in Bexar County. Vote by Mail

In Texas, you can request a mail-in ballot if you are:

  • Going to be away from your county on Election Day and during early voting
  • Sick or disabled
  • 65 years of age or older on Election Day
  • Confined in jail, but eligible to vote

Click here to see and print the application.  Applications must be submitted to the Bexar County Elections Department no earlier than 2 months before Election Day and no later than 11 days before.

On Election Day

On Election Day, you must vote at your precinct polling location. Polls are open 7 am – 7 pm. If you’re in line by 7 pm, you will be allowed to vote. Click here to find your precinct.
