I am a woman who values authenticity, integrity, relationships, continuous learning, and compassion. My many roles include wife, mother, grandmother, friend, neighbor, public health nurse, and connector. After 41 years in the nursing space, I needed a change. My new beginning came through becoming a professional certified coach. As a leadership and life coach, I specialize in helping nurses and public health professionals transform their personal and professional lives through deep listening, powerful questioning, and creating space for self-discovery.
Beyond my professional life, my husband Bill and I love to travel, hike, and bird watch. Recently we traveled the South Pacific from Australia to Tahiti on a cruise (it's fun to have the ocean rock you to sleep!). I never imagined what we would experience or the amazing friends we would make. When we are at home, I enjoy tending our gardens, maintaining a peaceful home, cooking (on occasion), and reading.
Why the League of Women Voters? I have always been an advocate. My people skills have given me the good fortune of being instrumental in passing several laws that expanded access to care. After leaving academia, I made a conscious decision to volunteer with the League because doing so aligned with my values and desire to act. I have met some of the most amazing people, and for that I am grateful!
