Yvonne Pelayo, LWVSA's Immediate Past-President, is one of the newly appointed Board membes. While serving as LWVSA President, Yvonne monitored the movement of several voting related bills through the Texas House and Senate during the Texas 89th Legislative Session. In addition, she enjoyed participating in the LWV Texas Lobby Days Event in February 2025. This experience led to an interest in serving on the LWV Texas Board and on the Advocacy Committee. LWVSA is fortunate to have Yvonne on LWV Texas Board. She will serve as a bridge between the local and state organizations, ensuring that LWVSA is informed of the latest state-wide developments.
