Analyssa Garcia joined the LWVSA Board of Directors as Secretary in March of 2025. In this role, she supports meeting coordination, documentation, and civic outreach efforts. Analyssa brings to the League a strong commitment to equity and representation, shaped by her deep roots in advocacy and community organizing.
Professionally, Analyssa is the Policy and Advocacy Specialist at Culturingua, a nonprofit uplifting Middle Eastern, North African, and South Asian (MENASA) communities in Texas through research-informed, community-centered advocacy. A proud Chicana and first-generation college graduate, Analyssa embraces her Indigenous and Mexican heritage as a foundation for her work in social justice and systemic change.
She holds a bachelor’s in political science, a certificate in Mexican American Studies, and a master’s in public administration from St. Mary’s University. Her background includes serving as a legislative staffer and conducting ongoing research on public policy, housing, and representation.
In addition to her work with the League, Analyssa partners with organizations like Asian Texans for Justice to support voter education and civic participation. Whether advancing data equity or advocating for immigrant integration, she centers community voices to help shape a more inclusive future for all Texans.
