League Shines Spotlight on Diane Saphire
Diane Saphire, Techie Supreme | Published on 3/27/2026
My work with the League is not the “stand in front of the classroom” type but rather the behind-the-scenes technical work. In my professional life as a statistician I used various large databases and did some programming - skills that have benefited me in my work with the League.
I help with Google Drive which is the software that allows us to store league digital materials, communicate by email, and hold online meetings. I also help with our customer relations management system, which is the backbone of the website, stores our contact information, and allows us to email members and friends. Vote411 is the software used by leagues across the nation to survey candidates, store their information, and make it available to voters seeking to evaluate candidates before an election. Learning that system has been an engaging part of my volunteer work.
Does any of this sound like you? Because we sure could use some help! If you are the kind of person who enjoys the challenge of working with data and technology, we would love to have you join us. You will find the League techies to be a smart, fun, energetic group! Zap me an email at
data@lwvsa.org and we can chat.
