About this event
"Good Trouble Lives On - A Community Teach-In" is part of a nationwide weekend of action in honor of the late Representative John Lewis. The program will provide an overview of the history of voting rights, changes that were brought about by the 1965 Voting Rights Act, and recent court cases that have eliminated protections which were the cornerstone of the legislation. We'll learn about the Civil Rights Movement from participants, and discuss how we can honor the Movement's legacy by organizing to protect voting rights.
