Voters Guide

Printed LWVSA Voters Guides for each election will be available about two weeks before Early Voting begins at all San Antonio library branches, the Bibliotechs, and all other public libraries in Bexar County.

The Voters Guide contains nonpartisan, nonbiased questions on important issues from the League of Women Voters, answered by the candidates in their own unedited words, as well as information on voting and elections, the Texas Voters’ Bill of Rights in English and Spanish, and the early voting locations and schedule.

Nonpartisan election information online

VOTE411 is an award-winning, one-stop, nonpartisan election information resource for all 50 states maintained by the League of Women Voters Education Fund to help you be an informed voter. Comprehensive information about the particulars of voting in Texas is available year-round in English and Spanish.

Individualized ballot and interactive LWVSA Voters Guide

When you type in your street address , VOTE411 will show you all the contests that will be on your ballot when you go to vote. For each contest, the interactive version of the LWVSA Voters Guide allows you to make side-by-side comparisons of candidate responses—in their own words—to the set of issue and policy questions all the candidates were asked. After reading the candidate responses, you can select which candidate you will vote for in each contest, building a list of all your choices that you can print and take with you to use as a guide when you vote.

When candidate information becomes available

The interactive LWVSA Voters Guide candidate content becomes available a few weeks before the beginning of Early Voting for any given election.

Sample ballots

The results of your precinct search will include a link to a "sample ballot" showing the names of the candidates and the offices for which they are running. Sample ballots do not show additional information about the candidates.

Information about elected officials who currently represent you

The results of your precinct search will also show links to the websites of the elected officials who currently represent you at the local and state levels; candidates who are not currently in office usually have official websites or Facebook pages, which you can consult as well.
