Climate Change

In service to our community, the League of Women Voters of San Antonio is conducting a series of webinars on Climate Change in San Antonio 2022-2023.

Our goals are to:
  • Provide expert information on the array of changes and challenges of climate change.
  • Detail how the city is working to address and mitigate the harmful effects of these changes.
  • Offer concrete suggestions regarding what we can do.

While many may debate the causes, we can all see the damage climate change is doing to our economy, our lives, our world.  We hope all will agree that we can and should work to mitigate those damages for our citizens and our children.

Climate Change in San Antonio: LWVSA Webinar #5 - ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE

Will be held via Zoom on Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 10 a.m.-Noon.

  • Peter Bella of the Climate Change Reality Project, who will offer a big-picture view of climate change’s effects on those of limited means now and in the future – and how those affect us all.
  • Susana Segura of Bread and Blankets Mutual Aid and the Esperanza Peace and Justice Center, sharing her real-world experiences helping those suffering from excessive heat or cold, flooding, food insecurity, etc.
