Diya Contractor

Diya Contractor is a political science and business student at Trinity University and a member of the class of 2026. At Trinity, her efforts include working as the copy editor and opinions columnist for the school newspaper, being a student philanthropy officer for the school's alumni association, holding a position as a Teacher's Assistant for a writing; reading; and research-intensive course, working as a secretary for the Rotaract club; a subsection of the international club "Rotary," and operating as the Treasurer for the Tigers for Reproductive Justice Club. Diya connected with Madhu Sridhar, League President, in April of 2023 when Diya was writing an article about the importance of voting. Since then, the two of them have worked closely together to help invigorate the Youth Initiative in San Antonio and increase youth voter turnout in Bexar County and the greater San Antonio area.
