2023 Youth Contest

Contest Details

• All high school and college students from Bexar County are eligible to participate
• Submitted work may be essay, poetry, rap or art. Word limit is 350. Videos of no more than 3 minutes in length.
• Eligible formats: PDF, YouTube compatible videos and digital ART or photo of art.
• Note: Judging committee may ask to see the original art piece.
• A total of six scholarships will be awarded for the top three submissions for each age group - high school and college.
  • First Place: $500
  • Second Place: $250
  • Third Place: $100
• Winners will be notified by December 9, 2023.
• Winning submissions will be published on the LWVSAA website and highlighted on the League's Facebook and Instagram pages.
• If the high school winning submissions include in the submission form the name of the teacher, if any, who encouraged them to enter the contest, the teacher will receive a $200 grant for classroom activities.

• Don't forget to attach your document!
• If your submission is available online, such as Google Drive, YouTube page or portfolio, include the URL.
