 In service to our community, the League of Women Voters of San Antonio is offering a series of free, interactive webinars on Climate Change in San Antonio.

This, our fifth of the series, addresses the economic effects of climate change on our marginalized populations, including concerns about apparent ongoing inequities and efforts to address them. Our speakers include:

• Peter Bella of the Climate Change Reality Project, who will offer a big-picture view of climate change’s effects on those of limited means now and in the future – and how those affect us all.
• Susana Segura of Bread and Blankets Mutual Aid and the Esperanza Peace and Justice Center, sharing her real-world experiences helping those suffering from excessive heat or cold, flooding, food insecurity, etc.
• Douglas Melnick, San Antonio’s Chief Sustainability Officer, detailing plans and actions the city is taking to address and mitigate the effects of climate change on our less fortunate populations.
