As we celebrate Thanksgiving weekend and the beginning of the holiday season, I want to express my gratitude to the League Board, the League members and the League supporters in the community.
This newsletter is a testimony to our collective accomplishments. We actively and effectively pursued an aggressive agenda to create an informed and active citizenry this election. We reached out to young voters, new citizens, underserved communities, first time voters and much more. Harnessing the energy of our members and supporters, we kept the League’s mission in the forefront – empowering voters, defending democracy.
Right now the country needs what the League has to offer – concern for public interest, grassroots membership, expertise in citizen involvement and most importantly accurate and reliable nonpartisan information.
Thank you all for your dedication and support in helping build a democracy where every person has the desire, the right, the knowledge and the confidence to participate.
