Election Day — Presidential Election

November 3 @ 7:00 am - 7:00 pm

Be a Texas voter!  Polls are open 7:00am-7:00pm.   

Your in-person voting checklist:
  • Get informed about the candidates in advance at VOTE411.org and print out your personalized sample ballot to bring to the polls.
  • Find a Bexar County vote center.  You can vote at any of them. 
  • Bring your required acceptable photo ID (and your voter registration card if you have it handy).
  • Know your rights: Texas Voters' Bill of Rights (pdf) Declaración de Derechos Electorales en el Estado De Texas (pdf)
  • Put 866-OUR-VOTE, 866-VE-Y-VOTA,or any of the helplines below into your cellphone contacts so that if you run into problems at the polls, you can step outside and call for advice.  (Cellphones must be turned off while you are in the polling place).

    • 844-YALLA-US (844-925-5287) – Arabic language hotline
    • 301-818-VOTE (301-818-8683) – ASL video call number
    • 888-796-VOTE (888-796-8683) – Disability Rights Texas

Don't leave if you are still in line when the polls close–you still have the right to cast your ballot.  Every vote counts! 

Haven't mailed your ballot?
  • deliver your mail-in ballot yourself in person on Election Day
    • only at the Bexar County Elections Department (1103 S. Frio Street, San Antonio, TX 78207)
    • by 7:00 pm
    • with acceptable photo ID  to prove your identity.
  • or you can go vote in person at any vote center
    • you will cancel your mail-in ballot with the election clerk
    • bring your unmarked mail-in ballot with you if possible
